About the Doctors

Dr. Church is passionate about providing the best care possible to all patients. Every treatment plan is tailored to the individual to provide the most benefit to the patient. Dr. Church believes that patient education and active care will allow the patient to improve and maintain a healthy lifestyle. He wants to see each patient's health restored by relieving pain and reducing nerve interference, allowing them to live a healthier more active life.

Dr. Khoury is a board certified Chiropractic physician and a graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic, magna cum laude. Dr. Khoury practices a variety of techniques: Gonstead, Diversified, Thompson, Webster's and Activator. Dr. Khoury believes that each patient is different, and patient care plans should be individualized to optimize their results. Individual care allows Dr. Khoury to successfully treat patients of all ages, from infants to geriatrics. Her background in athletics has allowed her to treat numerous sports-related injuries in variety of ways including extremity adjustments and physiotherapy modalities.

Dr. Khoury's 6 + years of experience has taught her that true healing takes time and that it is important to treat the actual source of the problem and not just the symptoms. She believes that pain is the body's way of telling us that something is wrong and that health is the way we take care of ourselves on a daily basis. Eating well, exercising and maintaining a positive mental attitude in addition to chiropractic care can bring forth a more healthy body inside and out.

Dr. Meyer’s first experience with chiropractic came at a very young age. Due to complications during the delivery process there were problems within his spine. These problems made him a very colicky baby. After several stressful months, and a lot of searching for answers to the problem, Dr. Meyer’s parents decided to take him to see a chiropractor. After discovering misalignments he was adjusted. After only a few visits, the colic had subsided and he had began eating regularly, and sleeping through the night for the first time since he was born. Since then, Dr. Meyer has received regular chiropractic care, and therefore, deciding on a career in chiropractic was a natural choice. 

Dr. Meyer grew up in the Peoria area and attended Bradley University where he received his bachelor’s degree in pre-med/chemistry. He then went on to complete his doctor of chiropractic degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic, located in Davenport Iowa, in 2003. 

After graduation Dr. Meyer and his wife moved to Redmond, Washington where he began his career interning within a clinic whose focus was in Chiropractic Biophysics and Neurology. This outstanding experience allows Dr. Meyer to offer a variety of unique techniques, including low force instrument adjusting, for correcting many common spinal problems.

In 2005, Dr. Meyer and his wife moved back to Peoria, Illinois to start their family. They are now the proud parents of a very active toddler. Always wanting to open his own practice, Dr. Meyer decided to start Elmwood Chiropractic in February of 2007. After several short years in Elmwood, Illinois, Dr. Meyer was offered the opportunity to join the team at Peoria Chiropractic, and decided to move his practice back to the Peoria area.
